Ash Boats is operated by Stephen Harral who has been involved in the world of Narrowboats since 1978. A wealth of experience has been gained over the years – immensely valuable/useful if you are considering either selling or buying a narrowboat. 

Insurance valuations are carried out at reasonable rates; valuations for a variety of other purposes are regularly carried out – give us a call and ask for advice.

Insurance of boats – both wide and narrow – can be arranged. We introduce the purchaser/owner to the insurance provider who is recommended by us as a reliable source of cover.

Surveys of boats can be quickly and easily arranged, usually on a trailer up the Marina slipway. A small reliable and professional group of surveyors/boat safety examiners can be recommended for the client to choose from.

A range of boat-building skills are available at the Marina or nearby – we can fix a minor problem or build you a new boat, and everything in between including painting.

Our aim is to make the purchase of a boat a pleasant, trouble-free experience. We manage the entire process of selling a boat from initial valuation through the delivery of the boat, the marketing, negotiating a sale and the eventual transfer of funds into the vendor’s account, in a professional, efficient manner.
